This year Macmillan Cancer Support and Talarius have joined forces to improve the lives of people affected by cancer across the UK.

Macmillan Cancer Support provides practical, medical, financial and emotional support and push for better cancer care. One in three of us will get cancer and as treatments improve, more and more people are living with cancer in their daily lives. Macmillan aim to reach everyone affected by cancer across the UK and Talarius gaming centres across the UK are working hard to help them reach this ambition.

A source of support

Macmillan are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It’s not only patients who live with cancer, so Macmillan also help carers, families and communities ; guiding people through the system, supporting them every step of the way. Macmillan fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals and build cancer care centres.

People need practical support at home, so Macmillan provide anything from some precious time off for a carer, to a lift to hospital. People need emotional support, so Macmillan listen, advise and share information though cancer support specialists| , website and trained professionals| . People need financial help| to cope with the extra costs cancer can bring, so Macmillan give benefits advice, and grants for anything from heating bills to travel costs.

Through holding fundraising events in gaming centres, Talarius are supporting every one of their customers that may be affected by cancer.
